چکیده
In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a discrete-time stage-structured population model where juveniles and adults may be subject to threshold harvesting. This management policy allows harvesting target only if its size exceeds predetermined threshold. It is commonly used for maintaining biomass, obtaining higher yield, preventing collapse. We focus on response structured populations study how they can affected by considering different thresholds each age class. find all possible equilibria system analyze their stability; show that does not destabilize globally stable equilibria. discuss when hydra effects occur, more specifically, determine adult increase at equilibrium in an per-capita mortality rate as consequence A rigorous 2-parameter bifurcation diagram given semelparous populations, which helps understand general case survivorship rates are low. Numerical results complement analysis case.

Dynamic behavior in a delayed stage-structured population model with stochastic fluctuation and harvesting
In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a stage-structured population model involving gestation delay is investigated within stochastically fluctuating environment and harvesting. Firstly, the stability and Hopf bifurcation condition are described on the delayed population model within deterministic environment. Secondly, the stochastic population model systems are discussed by incorporating whi...
متن کاملGlobal dynamics in a stage-structured discrete-time population model with harvesting.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of constant effort harvesting upon global dynamics of a discrete-time population model with juvenile and adult stages. We consider different scenarios, including adult-only mortality, juvenile-only mortality, and equal mortality of juveniles and adults. In addition to analytical study of equilibria of the system, we analyze global dynamics by m...
متن کاملDynamics of Stage-structured Population Models with Harvesting Pulses
In most models of population dynamics, changes in population due to birth or harvesting are assumed to be time-independent, but many species reproduce or are caught only during a single period of the year. In this paper a single species stage-structured model with density-dependent maturation rate, birth pulse and harvesting pulse is formulated. Using the discrete dynamical system determined by...
متن کاملStability patterns for a size-structured population model and its stage-structured counterpart.
In this paper we compare a general size-structured population model, where a size-structured consumer feeds upon an unstructured resource, to its simplified stage-structured counterpart in terms of equilibrium stability. Stability of the size-structured model is understood in terms of an equivalent delayed system consisting of a renewal equation for the consumer population birth rate and a dela...
متن کاملGlobal stability and bifurcations in a delayed discrete population model
We consider a family of difference equations used in population dynamics. First we recall the most relevant results concerning the global stability of the positive equilibrium. Then, using the survival rate as a parameter, we investigate the changes in the dynamics when it ranges between zero (semelparous populations) and one.
